These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to the Kavoro marketplace platform operated by Operating legal entity will be published here before the first real paid pilot shift.("Kavoro", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Kavoro, you agree to these Terms.
1. Kavoro is a marketplace platform
Kavoro provides software that helps Winnipeg-area businesses post temporary shifts and connect with workers who apply and confirm assignments. Kavoro is intended to operate as a marketplace and software intermediary, not as the employer of workers who perform shifts booked through the platform.
Counsel review required: Whether a worker is an employee, independent contractor, or another classification for a given shift is a legal determination that depends on the facts and applicable Manitoba/Canadian law. These Terms do not decide that classification.
2. Worker accounts
Workers may browse shifts, apply, confirm selected shifts, record attendance, submit hours, and communicate with posting businesses through Kavoro. Workers are not charged a Kavoro marketplace fee for using the worker-facing features described at signup.
3. Employer accounts
Employers must provide accurate business and shift information, select workers in good faith, approve hours honestly, and comply with applicable employment standards, workplace safety, workers' compensation, tax, and payroll obligations for workers they engage.
The posting business—not Kavoro—is responsible for wages, statutory deductions, remittances, workplace supervision, and lawful treatment of workers for shifts it posts, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
4. Shift postings, applications, and employment offers
Shift details shown on Kavoro (including wage, schedule, location, duties, and cancellation policy) are provided by the posting business. When a posting business selects a worker, Kavoro records a shift-level employment offer with material terms at selection. The worker must affirmatively accept that offer before the assignment is confirmed.
5. Attendance and hours
Kavoro records attendance and approved hours to support payroll administration workflows. Approved hours exported from Kavoro reflect what the posting business approved in the platform. Disputes about hours should be resolved between the worker and posting business; Kavoro may provide support routing but does not adjudicate employment disputes.
6. Fees
Businesses may be charged platform or related fees according to pricing shown to employers or agreed separately. Workers should not be charged a Kavoro marketplace fee unless clearly disclosed at signup.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse Kavoro, harass others, post unlawful shifts, circumvent security, scrape data, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create safety risk, or harm the marketplace. Employers with pending verification may not have shifts visible to workers until approved.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Kavoro is provided on an "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Draft limitation-of-liability and indemnity sections require counsel review before pilot launch.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate. Continued use after notice may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to applicable law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable in Manitoba, Canada, subject to counsel review.
